Today we slept late and agreed to pick-up friends at the Miami Airport who landed at 2:00 PM. We headed for the 45 minute drive south and the weather was not looking good. The temps were in the high 20’s C and very humid.
We decided to try and cache near the Miami airport but this became hard with the first few caches turning up DNF’s and then we managed to grab a cache and then the thunder and lightning and rain started. I forgot that Florida has critters one needs to pay attention to. Damn lizards are big down here. It turned out to be an interesting time getting to the International Arrivals at Miami. It took 2.5 hours from the time the plane landed to the time they emerged out of Customs.

I can say I the number of DNF’s surprised me.
After picking up our friends we headed to Sawgrass Mills mall., then out for dinner before retiring for the night.
Tomorrow we head for the ship.
