It was almost 4 hours and 10 km ( 6 miles) of walking.<br \/>\nI have to say we arrived in the area and Rumrunner1 grabbed one cache that Sweet-Marie and I did last year.<br \/>\nWe were soon out of the car and on our way. Now me holding a commercial pilots licence and a love of flying it was my kind of day. How could holding a pilots licence and caching be my kind of day you may ask.<br \/>\nWell this is now Thursday and on Monday Operation Red Flag started at Nellis AFB just north of Las Vegas. want to see more just watch this video Called <a title=\"Figher Pilot\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=V30f88a8OTA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fighter Pilot<\/a> .<br \/>\nWe started out on the trail and soon we had F-16&#8217;s, F-15&#8217;s, A-10&#8217;s, C-130&#8217;s, H-60&#8217;s helo&#8217;s. going overhead and near us for the time we were out here.<br \/>\nWe also had the <a title=\"USAF Thunderbirds\" href=\"http:\/\/www.afthunderbirds.com\/site\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USAF Thunderbird&#8217;s <\/a>fly by several times through out the day. Well we think we found the answer. While out doing the Dog Paw we saw dozens of them blowing by. Then there was one that caught our eye. We started out and found many of the caches with maintenance issues. Lids that had been chewed off. This is the same problem we had in Idaho. We only had a couple of lids with us but not the number that was needed.<\/p>\n<p>The interesting part was that these were not all the same type of containers and ranged in difficulty and size. We even had a interesting cache container that was a puzzle.<\/p>\n<p>This series took about 2.5 hours to complete and about 6 km.<\/p>\n<p>As with all hiking\/caching in the desert one must wear good shoes and be prepared. This was a good day in the desert.<br \/>\nYes when we left the planes were still flying.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight dinner was a <a title=\"Joes Stone Crab\" href=\"http:\/\/www.joes.net\/\">Joe&#8217;s Stone Crab<\/a> over at the Forum at Caesars.
